Casa Q’s mission is to empower LGBTQ+ youth by offering safe housing, supportive services, and pathways toward independence, while honoring each individual’s identity, dignity, and lived experience. It is Casa Q’s vision to support and strengthen our local community through love and acceptance, celebrating and welcoming BIPOC and LGBTQ+ youth and allies. At Casa Q, staff are thinking long-term to build resiliency, self-determination, and self-efficacy for every young person that needs help.

The organization operates a Safe House program that offers a safe living option for youth ages 14–17 who are in crisis, providing a secure and affirming environment where basic needs are met, and healing can begin. In addition, Casa Q runs a Transitional Living Program (TLP) for young adults ages 18–22, which focuses on housing paired with intensive case management to support self-sufficiency.

Beyond housing, Casa Q is a visible advocate for LGBTQ+ youth across New Mexico, working to raise awareness, build partnerships, and challenge systems that contribute to youth homelessness. By centering safety, affirmation, and empowerment, Casa Q helps young people move from crisis toward stability and a future defined by choice, possibility, and hope.
