Give OUT Day 2016 has been POSTPONED to a future date TBD
As some of you may know Bolder Giving closed its offices at the end of February 2016 and is currently in transition. After much discussion, the board has decided that the success of future Give Out Days will be best assured by Bolder Giving handing over the administration of Give Out Day to a nonprofit that is aligned in mission, has capacity, and is committed to the success of this national fundraising campaign. To ensure a successful campaign, we have decided that Give Out Day 2016 will be postponed to a new date later this year and yet to be determined. We are excited to share that we are in active conversation with a partner to take on the role of lead administrator for Give Out Day 2016 and we hope to have an announcement in the near future. We will make a formal announcement when the new coordinating organization is ready to launch.
Give OUT Day is the ONLY national day of giving for the LGBTQ community – a 24-hour online fundraising competition that unites the LGBTQ community from all 50 states, Puerto Rico and D.C. to raise critically needed funds to support the diverse array of LGBTQ nonprofits from the arts to social services agencies, advocacy groups to sports leagues, community centers to health facilities, big and small, urban and rural.
“When we generate our own resources for our own movement, we harness the autonomy, power, and leadership it takes to make the change we wish to see in the world. By building and using skills to raise financial support for the causes dear to your heart, you exert that power and demonstrate that leadership. And, a prime example of how we can utilize this power in shaping our movements is Give OUT Day”
