Food For Thought is dedicated to meeting the nutritional needs of 800 people living with HIV and other serious illnesses in Sonoma County. We provide healthy weekly groceries including fresh produce, whole grains, protein sources, prepared meals, and nutritional vitamins. Our clients also receive one-on-one nutrition counseling from a registered dietitian. Three days per week we offer a community lunch program with chef-prepared soup and salad from our organic garden. All of our services are provided free of charge.
Currently, 600 dedicated volunteers help us prepare meals, stock groceries, deliver food, and more. Our volunteer drivers deliver weekly groceries to one-third of our clients who are homebound or homeless and unable to travel to our facility.
