Genders & Sexualities Alliance Network
Dear Family and Friends,
As the Reigning Monarchs of The Royal Grand Ducal Council of Alameda & Contra Costa Counites, Inc. we have had the privilege to dress up in what we call “Crowns & Gowns” and represent our community. We go from event to event, near and far to raise funds and awareness of our local charities using these "camp" titles. The freedom to do this is a privilege. As easy or difficult this has been for us as adults, think about the thoughts and feelings of LGBTQ+ Youth across the country as they address daily struggles inside our “public” educational system.
Students struggle to attend school for fear of being bullied, beaten or killed for being who they are
Students struggle to attend school for fear of NOT having a SAFE bathroom for them to use
Students struggle to attend school for fear of discriminatory teacher(s) or administration
Yes, even today. In big cities and small towns. Our youth struggle to be their authentic self.
On April 18, 2019 we ask that you support Genders & Sexualities Alliance Network (GSA Network) during the annual National Give Out Day!
GSA Network’s work is focused on uplifting the voices of Queer and Trans Youth to challenge and change our educational systems with a goal of developing more welcoming and inclusive schools and communities.
On April 18th, GSA Network will participate in Give OUT Day, an annual national day of giving for LGBTQ+ nonprofits. I ask you to support GSA Network and the talented youth leaders with a $25 donation.
Our personal goal is $4000!
That is 160 people to donate $25, or 80 people at $50, or 40 people at $100.
Give what you can, some will do more, some will do less. Please remember, your support as an adult is a major counter message to the fear our youth are facing. Let's send a message of hope and support!
With Love and Hope,
Royal Grand Duke, David Bracamontes & Royal Grand Duchess, Cruzin d’Loo
