All Minnesota youth deserve to grow up safe. Your gift will help Arise Project fund innovative grants that create programming and services to help LGBTQ kids on the streets, right away.
On any given night in Minnesota, there are more than 4,700 youth who experience homelessness. Of those, 40% identify as LGBTQ. The Midwest is alarmingly behind when it comes to providing resources to address LGBTQ youth homelessness. When it comes to support of LGBTQ community issues, Minnesota invests only one-fifth of the resources needed compared to other states. As a community, we’re about $4 million per year
behind where we should be.
We fund new programs and invest in partnerships that create culturally relevant services that help LGBTQ youth grow up safe. Arise Project, established in 2011, is committed to supporting LGBTQ youth experiencing homelessness by helping as many nonprofit agencies as possible launch and grow services that create safety and security.
