Education and LGBTQ youth leadership development are powerful tools to bridge identities, change hearts and minds, and strengthen voices for equality. We have trained more than 25,000 educators who have directly and positively impacted the lives of more than 3,750,000 students. Our youth leadership activities have empowered more than 10,000 LGBTQ and allied students.
Educating Educators. Safe Schools South Florida turns educators and administrators into champions and allies for LGBTQ students in their schools and districts.
Youth Empowerment. Our GSA Empowerment events bring together LGBTQ youth to build positive self-perception and empowered self-care, leadership, and advocacy skills.
Trained LGBTQ Youth Speakers are an integral and compelling part of our trainings, their voices giving dimension, breadth, and depth to the statistics that only hint at the struggle they endure.
Youth Scholarships. The Robert E. Loupo, Jr. “Legacy of Change” Scholarship is for graduating seniors who are advocates and/or activists, dedicated to upholding the dignity, rights and equality of the entire LGBTQ community.
SpeakOUT Bureau. Our volunteer speakers bureau of LGBTQ adults visit schools to share their stories with LGBTQ students and their allies.
Policy Advocacy. We work on policy advocacy initiatives with schools, school districts, communities, and government agencies to improve the lives of LGBTQ youth.
