Be one of the 1,000 community members that stand up for LGBTQIA2+ Youth!
San Diego Pride is one of the ONLY pride organizations that provides year-round education and advocacy programs to support the LGBT community. For us, fostering pride, equality, and respect for LGBT individuals is a 365 day a year
In 2018, San Diego Pride served 1,376 youth through five of our youth programs including the Youth Leadership Academy, Youth Lunch Bunch, Youth Art Show, Youth Marching Band, and Youth Zone at the Pride festival and these programs are still growing and need your support!
Through Giving Out Day 2019, we're seeking 1000 community members to give $10 each to help provide things like art supplies, snacks and lunches for youth meetings, transportation to programming, infrastructure for our festival Youth Zone, speakers and supplies for the Youth Leadership Academy, supportive trained staff to help facilitate programs, and more!
100% of funds raised will be used to support our LGBTQIA2+ youth programming.
Why does it matter? A 2018 HRC Youth Report found that only 26% of LGBTQIA2+ youth feel safe in their classrooms and 67% report that they have unsupportive family members. With your help, we can continue provide safe, supportive spaces where youth can be themselves, make new friends, and learn leadership skills.
Your donation to San Diego Pride's Youth programs will help us reach our $10,000 goal, and show the LGBTQIA2+ youth in our community they have your support!
