The SF LGBT Center creates a stronger and healthier LGBT community and a more welcoming and equitable world by connecting people to each other, to resources and opportunities. We provide direct services to those most in need and cultural programs to celebrate our history and diversity.
We are San Francisco’s only organization working across the full spectrum of the LGBT community on a broad range of issues, by responding to emerging and critical needs while developing innovative strategies that create lasting change.
The programs at the Center support our entire community and host cultural programs that celebrate our diversity:
Increase impact with additional mental health services and expand hours of operation to support over 300 LGBTQ youth, many of whom move to San Francisco seeking refuge from unsupportive hometowns and end up experiencing homelessness. The staff expansion would youth to build community and provides them with access to physical and mental healthcare, trauma resources, and nourishing meals.
Expand staff offering Information and Referral services to support over 2,500 people seeking critical services and resources, including immigrants and Dreamers with resources on DACA, asylum, and pathways to citizenship.
Assist over 3,000 LGBTQ people and allies annually to help them find employment, build their financial assets, link to affordable housing options, and help build and sustain small business in the community.
Because of you, the SF LGBT Center is able to provide incredible opportunities to tens of thousands of community members each year.
The Center is a home for our community. This is where we gather, organize and celebrate. Join us and make a difference today!
