As the nation's first gay and lesbian chorus, The Stonewall Chorale occupies a unique space in New York City.
This year, we are raising funds to underwrite the cost of performing Quiet No More, a new work that we have co-commissioned to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall riots, the event that launched the LGBTQ rights movement.
Our group will present the New York premiere of this work on June 6 and will join gay choruses from around the nation in a concert at Carnegie Hall later that month.
As a member-run chorus that depends on dues and ticket sales to sustain our programming, the money we raise will go directly to cover the costs associated with both performances.
In addition to supporting us on GiveOUT Day 2019, join us for our annual Pride Concert, where we will present the New York Premiere of a piece commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall Inn riots that launched the LGBTQ rights movement in America.
