My job: GSA Coordinator
I am proud to work with so many incredible young people across the Equality State. Through the office of Wyoming Equality, I am able to provide Gay-Straight Alliance students, some as young as 12, with resources on coming out, anti-racism, immigration justice, bullying prevention, and hate-incident responses. Visiting students in person, planning city-wide and state-wide events, and meeting with teacher sponsors all makes a difference, but it also all costs money.
My employer: Wyoming Equality
Every amount you give to Wyoming Equality helps our mission of acheiving equity for all lesbian, gay, bisexual, two-spirit, transgender, and queer Wyomingites. We are the oldest and largest LGBTQ advocacy group in Wyoming, and we are currently the only LGBTQ group that works state-wide. We educate the public, lobby the legislature, provide financial and technical support to GSAs, host support groups for trans people and LGBTQ allies, provide funding for scholarships, and offer resources to anyone who comes to our office, which is open 5 days a week, 8 hours a day.
Your opportunity:Send a message and make a difference
These are difficult times for LGBTQ people, especially young LGBTQ people who live in the most rural and isolated state in the country: Wyoming. By giving generously today, you are sending a strong message to GSA students from Lander to Laramie and everwhere inbetween, that they matter to you, and that they belong in the Equality State. So please, give today, and if you can't give, please share far and wide over your social media accounts!
