Baltimore Safe Haven

BSH believes that every transgender, lesbian, gay, bisexual, and queer (TLGBQ) person should be able to live healthy, self-determined, and self-sufficient lives free from stigma, violence, and oppression. We achieve this through engaging those who are living in survival mode in our communities and challenging structural barriers to health, safety, and prosperity. BSH provides compassionate harm reduction and upward mobility services, advocacy, and community engagement that is respectful, non-judgmental, and affirms and honors individual power and agency. BSH’s mission is to provide opportunities for a higher quality of life for TLGBQ people in Baltimore City living in survival mode. BSH is the only nonprofit organization in Baltimore to be run by a Trans woman of color.
