Coastside Pride Chorus was founded in 2023 and is the first musical organization created to serve the LGBTQ+ community and supporters in the coastal towns of El Granada, Half Moon Bay, Montara, Moss Beach, Pacifica and Pescadero. Our annual concert schedule features two full length concerts and a cabaret performance. We also perform at Half Moon Bay Pride. Our main concerts are presented at Coastside Lutheran Church. In 2024, our cabaret was at the Odd Fellows Hall in Half Moon Bay.

Membership in the chorus is open to all singers who support our mission. Singers under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Coastside Pride Chorus is 100% self-funded through concerts, member dues, fundraising events and the generosity of the community. Through the fiscal umbrella of Coastside Lutheran Church, we are able to share their 501 (c) 3 tax-exempt status as a non-profit organization.

Founding Artistic Director John Lehrack has also led the Gay Men's Chorus of Honolulu, SATBQ: The Women's Chorus of Honolulu, Equal Voices, the South Coast Chorale, the Jewish Folk Chorus of San Francisco and currently directs Na Leo Nahenahe, the Bay Area's Hawaiian Chorus. He is a former college professor, current private studio teacher of piano and voice and has previously worked with both Coastal Repertory Theatre and Half Moon Bay High School.
