Founded in 1965, CPC's longstanding mission is to create positive social change. We empower Asian American, immigrant, and low-income communities in New York City by ensuring they have equitable access to resources and opportunities needed to thrive. 

Today, CPC is the nation's largest Asian American social services organization and the trusted partner to over 280,000 New Yorkers of all ages and backgrounds at every stage of life to our over 50 high-quality programs at over 30 sites in Manhattan, Brooklyn, and Queens. 

Your gift provides support in education, family support, and community and economic empowerment. 

Our 2023 Impact

Education - We provide high-quality learning opportunities for all ages -- from preschool and after-school enrichment to adult English classes and digital literacy classes -- because education is lifelong. 

1,398 children received free or affordable STEM, arts, and recreational programming at our after-school programs in six underserved elementary schools

858 students participated in CPC summer programming.

856 students nurtured a lifelong love of reading via Ready Readers literacy programming over the school year. 

607 community members learned English through our Adult Literacy Program. 

98% of Project Gateway participants were accepted to college and awarded financial aid.

Family Support - We make it easier for individuals and families to access personalized social resources because support is fundamental to success.

More than 28,000 meals were delivered to homebound older adults in Chinatown. 

Over 10,000 community members received enrollment assistance or referrals for entitlements and benefits programs. 

1,200 asylum seekers were reached by Promise NYC, ensuring that 213 undocumented children and their families have access to affordable child care services. 

473 individuals with developmental disabilities received support services. 

106 families were kept safe and together by Asian Family Services (AFS). 

Community and Economic Empowerment - We empower New Yorkers through training, counseling, and advocacy -- so that everyone feels comfortable intervening and speaking up -- to create long-term, sustained transformation within our communities.

$409,989.10 in SNAP benefits was facilitated by CPC Multi-Social Services for our community members. 

2,705 young people worked at hundreds of job sites through our Summer Youth Employment Program (SYEP).

600 participants in CPC City and State Advocacy Days met with legislators and officials to discuss issues that affect Asian American, immigrant, and low-income communities. 

412 community members were assisted with their naturalization, green card renewal, or certificate of citizenship application. 

115 permanently affordable units for older adult residents at Norfolk Senior Housing, including 28 formerly unhoused community members.
