$30,000 Goal

Support the Trans Medical Needs Fund

To start off 2024, we reflect on the incredible strides we've made at the Fresno EOC's LGBTQ+ Resource Center, particularly within our Trans Medical Needs Fund. Thanks to past supporters like you, Dr. Julie Nicole, Anonymous Angel Donors, Imperial Dove Court de Fresno and our FIRST EVER reoccurring donor Derrick Pollock, we've achieved remarkable success! With success, however, comes new challenges.

2023 was incredibly difficult for our LGBTQ+ community, especially for individuals accessing vital medical resources through our Trans Medical Needs Fund. The demand for our services has been so overwhelming that we've exhausted our budget by the end of the year. To sustain and expand our reach, we need your help.

Our goal is to raise $30,000 by May 30th to continue  supporting transgender individuals directly in accessing crucial medical resources, ensuring that no one in our community is left behind.

Jess Fitzpatrick (he/him) and Sebastian E. (he/him) Share a smile for the funding that will provide gender affirming accessories! To make a tax-deductible donation and contribute to the well-being of our transgender community members, click on the DONATION button above. Alternatively, you can mail a check to 1900 Mariposa Street, Suite 100, Fresno, CA 93721. Be sure to add LGBTQ/TMNF in the memo section!

We are immensely grateful for your past contributions and hope you'll consider supporting us during this critical time. Your support allows us to continue our mission and ensures that the Fresno EOC's LGBTQ+ Resource Center remains,  as our friend Drew Harbaugh says, “a lighthouse of hope" for those in need. If you have any questions or would like more information about the Trans Medical Needs Fund, please feel free to contact Jess Fitzpatrick at 559-472-9209 (call or text) or jess.fitzpatrick@fresnoeoc.org

Thank you for being a supporter of our cause. Together, we can make a lasting impact on the lives of trans and gender expansive people in Fresno County.

About us

In 2017, Fresno's only LGBTQ Center closed its doors for good. For nearly two years, the community was without a safe place to gather or get access to resources from. In 2019, Fresno EOC Sanctuary and Support Services answered the call and opened the LGBTQ+ Resource Center to provide a safe space for the community.

Our team of six tackle some of the most pressing issues in our community such as housing and food insecurity, mental healthcare, gender-affirming providers, and more. We connect LGBTQ folks to resources they need such as substance use treatment, mental health services, legal help, peer support groups, as well as many in-house programs Fresno Economic Opportunities Commission has to offer. We are constantly working towards providing a more equitable landscape for the many intersections of the queer community of Fresno.

Our conversations and work centers on providing our community with a safe place that will become a staple in Fresno County.
