Gender Affirming Care at VLPP

We need your help. Members of Congress hostile to abortion are trying to shut down Planned Parenthood health centers and block Transgender patients from getting care. They are also trying to prevent Medicaid and ACA insurance plans from covering gender affirming care. Due to the rising costs of living and relentless attacks against the Transgender Community, our Trans Health Fund is now completely  gone. We need your help to replenish this fund.

To help replenish our fund we are participating in Give OUT Day again this year from May 22nd to June 30th!  Our goal is to raise $10,000 and we know that we can do it with your support! Since we began our Trans Health Fund in 2021, we have  given over $30,000 in financial support to our Trans and Nonbinary patients because of donors like you! 

For over 9 years, The Virginia League for Planned Parenthood has served patients through our gender affirming hormone treatment program.  Since our beginning, we have served over 4,000 patients in this program and demand continues to grow for our services!  Virginia is the only  state in the South that does not have any bans on gender affirming care.  

 During this critical moment, we are committed to offering safe and welcoming care for this community as well as financial support as we are able to. 

At VLPP, we believe that no patient should have to choose between securing essential life affirming healthcare, like hormones, and paying for groceries, an electric bill, or rent. As  patients continue to face rising gas, food, housing prices, and increased costs of other survival needs, our financial support program remains in high demand.  

Your donation will continue to ensure that Trans and Nonbinary people get access to the life saving care that they deserve and be able to continue to live rich and authentic lives. At VLPP we believe that everyone, of every gender, deserves bodily autonomy and self determination.
