In a world where LGBTQ+ history is frequently erased, The Generations Project actively creates spaces to safeguard and share our stories. Through intergenerational storytelling events and programs, we connect people across ages and identities, fostering empathy, belonging, and a living culture that demands visibility while preserving and strengthening our community for generations to come.

Why This is Important Now  

Preservation of LGBTQ+ history has never been more urgent. The Generations Project (TGP) confronts erasure, fosters solidarity, and strengthens community bonds. At a time when underrepresented voices are being pushed further to the margins, we create spaces where LGBTQ+ histories are celebrated and defended. TGP makes knowing our collective past a powerful act of resistance

What We Do

The Generations Project (TGP) shares LGBTQ+ stories with people of all ages and backgrounds, bringing history to life through in-person and virtual storytelling programs. We connect generations, promote cross-community engagement, preserve LGBTQ+ histories, and foster intergenerational solidarity. We strive to make learning underrepresented perspectives of LGBTQ+ history a community-building, engaging experience that inspires empathy, understanding, and action across all audiences.
