Founded in 1986, Maui AIDS Foundation (MAF) is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) health and social service organization focused on promoting the sexual health and well-being of the members of our community. MAF is the only AIDS service organization serving Maui County including the islands of Maui, Lanai and Molokai. MAF provides direct services that include linkage to medical care, access to HIV medications, food, housing, and emotional support. MAF also provides comprehensive educational and testing programs. These preventative programs provide information,  tools and testing on sexually transmitted infections (STIs) such as HIV, Hepatitis C (HCV), Syphilis and others.

Many people may know and appreciate MAF as an AIDS Service Organization. It is important to share what that means and how we serve our Maui community in more detail. Of course, serving the HIV/AIDS community is what MAF was founded on, and we will always continue that legacy. What many people do not know is the scope of community and social services MAF does in addition to that. MAF serves a broad base of community members including women, men, and youth in our rural setting.
