Honor the legacy of Give OUT Day’s visionary founder

Charlie Rounds, a proud Minnesotan and lifelong advocate for LGBTQ+ rights, founded Give OUT Day with a bold idea: that the power of collective giving could uplift and sustain LGBTQ+ organizations nationwide. Charlie helped shape a national movement that has raised millions for hundreds of grassroots organizations since 2013.

Charlie leading a program to help LGBT+ NGOs increase funding from companies and individuals.The OUT Loud Fund celebrates this legacy by supporting prize funding for Give OUT Day — continuing the spirit of generosity that Charlie envisioned from the very beginning. Contributions to this fund:

• Provide additional prize funding for the LGBTQ+ nonprofits participating in Give OUT Day. 
• Build momentum for Give OUT Day, helping to close the funding gap in U.S. philanthropy, where LGBTQ+ causes receive less than 0.3% of philanthropic dollars nationally.  
• Ensure that the LGBTQ+ organizations that provide accessible health care, create community events, protect LGBTQ+ rights, and more receive the vital support they need to continue their invaluable work. 

In 2013, Charlie saw a future where their generosity and action would ripple across communities for years to come.
