In 2013, Give OUT Day was founded by Charlie Rounds with a bold idea: that the power of collective giving could uplift and sustain LGBTQ+ organizations nationwide. Since its inception, Give OUT Day has become a national movement, raising millions for hundreds of grassroots organizations.
In 2026, the LGBTQ+ community faces continued challenges. And yet, hundreds of invaluable LGBTQ+ organizations across the country continue to uplift, affirm, and protect LGBTQ+ community members and allies by housing our neighbors, providing safe spaces for community and worship, protecting civil liberties, creating impactful art pieces, and so much more.
The OUT Loud Fund celebrates the legacy of this day and the ongoing work of LGBTQ+ nonprofits by supporting prize funding for Give OUT Day — continuing the spirit of generosity that Charlie envisioned from the very beginning.
Contributions to this fund:
Provide additional prize funding for the LGBTQ+ nonprofits participating in Give OUT Day.
Support the Ann Kaner-Roth Legacy prize, Give OUT Day’s grand prize, which awards one nonprofit a transformative $5,000 gift in honor of Ann Kaner-Roth, a tireless advocate for LGBTQ+ families and a driving force behind marriage equality in Minnesota and across the country.
Build momentum for Give OUT Day to help close the funding gap in U.S. philanthropy, where LGBTQ+ causes receive less than 0.3% of philanthropic dollars nationally.
Ensure that the LGBTQ+ organizations that provide accessible health care, create community events, protect LGBTQ+ rights, and more receive the vital support they need to continue their invaluable work.
