Across the county, LGBTQ+ community members and organizers look to us as an example, as an image of hope. But we did not get here overnight.

It has taken decades of work to shift not only policy, but culture here at home. Thousands of community members come together every year to organize in their communities, celebrate with visible displays of Pride, share their stories, and advocate for safety for our community.

Because of this work, Minnesota has some of the strongest protections for the LGBTQ+ community—and some of the strongest champions advocating for our rights. We are holding the line against efforts to erase those protections because we have community members across the state advocating with us.
