PFLAG Fresno

A nonprofit organization

PFLAG Fresno is an all-volunteer organization dedicated to supporting LGBTQ+ folks and families in the Central Valley.  As the local chapter of PFLAG National, we provide a safe and welcoming space for individuals and families to connect, share experiences, and find resources. Our mission is to foster understanding, acceptance, and love for all members of the LGBTQ+ community through education, advocacy, and support.

Our current programming consists of:

  1. Our flagship monthly peer support and education meetings every 2nd Sunday
  2. Our Little Queer Book Club, meeting every 4th Saturday
  3. Two lending libraries housing more than 1,000 books written by, for, and about LGBTQ+ people
  4. Our Therapist Peer Consultation Group for clinicians serving the LGBTQ+ community
  5. Our 4th Wednesday Zoom peer support groups
  6. Various one-off events such as our free self defense classes for the community, our Bikes to Books ride and book swap meet, craft events and activities, and collaborations with other local orgs

All these events cost money, and so this year, as part of Give Out Day, we are asking for your help to continue this important work. Donations made to PFLAG Fresno will directly fund our programs, providing critical resources for LGBTQ+ folks and families in our community. Your generosity will enable us to expand our support services, create more educational opportunities, and strengthen our advocacy efforts for equality.

Please consider making a donation today and helping us build a more inclusive and affirming community. Every contribution counts, and together, we can make a lasting impact. Thank you for your support!
