Rainbow Women's Chorus

Who We Are

Rainbow Women's Chorus is the only predominantly Lesbian chorus in the South Bay and as such we give voice to the history, struggles and joys of our lives and of our community. We sing our songs. In addition, we often perform original scores written and arranged by one of our directors and composer-in-residence, Ruth Huber.  Our chorus is open to women of all ages and backgrounds regardless of race, religion, or sexual orientation. Most of our members consider RWC to be a part of their family, as do a large portion of our audience members. The camaraderie, the musical training and the joy of singing brings us together season after season.

Performances

• We're planning for our 23/24 Concert Season.
• Each Spring, we take part in the "For Love" benefit concert, raising money for Next Door Solutions to Domestic Violence.
• You're likely to see us at community events, such as San Jose PRIDE or the County Fair.  
• We are also available to sing at private events such as memorial services and birthdays.
• We are excited to be planning to attend the 2024 GALA Festival in Minnesota.

Our Mission Statement

The purpose of Rainbow Women's Chorus is to provide a place where women can work together to develop musical excellence in an atmosphere of mutual support and respect. Our mission is to perform publicly for the entertainment, education, and cultural enrichment of our audiences and communities, as well as to enhance the esteem of all women, celebrate diversity, promote peace and freedom, and touch people's hearts and lives through music.
