Welcome to SOJOURN-The Southern Jewish Resource Network for Gender & Sexual Diversity!

SOJOURN empowers communities to advance and celebrate gender and sexual diversity across the South. Born and raised in Atlanta, SOJOURN has expanded to serving surrounding Southern states including Florida, the Carolinas to Texas. For Give OUT this year, SOJOURN is raising money for our QueerHillah program! 

QueerHillah (queer + the Hebrew word kehillah, which means community) aims to bring queer Jews in their 20s/30s together for fun, meaningful programming.

QueerHillah offers activities that are Social, Spiritual, and of Service; including Shabbat exchange experiences, mentorship opportunities (to GIVE & GET), and of course fun and meaningful social connections. Through holiday gatherings, text study and discussion, and opportunities to serve others, QueerHillah creates much-needed spaces for LGBTQ+ Jewish young adults in the South to gather and form critical connections.  

What Can a $10 Donation Do for SOJOURN?

• Provide materials, handouts, and resource guides for educational programs
• Provide snacks at a community gathering of queer Jewish young adults 
• Coordinate mentorship programming for and by QueerHillah participants
• Helps subsidize educational programs to make them more accessible across the South 
• Helps mobilize Jewish and LGBTQ+ communities to advocate for their rights across the South 
• Helps bring the rabbis, educators, and speakers innovating at the forefront of queer Jewish ritual
