Together, we’re meeting youth where they’re at
and making sure they feel safe, accepted, and supported in a way that works for them.
“The uncertainty of each day was a challenge. Then I found Rita’s House at The Bridge for Youth, and I finally had a support system I knew I could count on. Because of the love and care I received, I found the resilience to graduate high school and pursue my dreams.”
-Sam, Former Youth at The Bridge
Meeting Needs of Youth in the Twin Cities
Consistent with our Strategic Direction at The Bridge, The Mobile Youth Outreach Center prioritizes meeting the immediate needs of BIPOC, LGBTQ+ and sexually exploited youth ages 10-21 in the Twin Cities; bringing services directly to youth in spaces and places they feel safe, providing mobile intervention to meet immediate basic needs – healthy food, gender-affirming clothing, resources for harm reduction and safety planning, assessments and referrals, case management, and most importantly, connection through both 1:1 in-person and virtual support.

Transforming the Way We Support Youth
After two-years of design and construction, we’re thrilled
to share that the renovations at The Bridge for Youth are complete.
From wall removal in common areas for more natural lighting and sense of community, installing enclosed cabinetry to keep spaces clean and functional, adding 3 kitchenettes for functionality and access to healthy food, private bathrooms for each bedroom, and more – this multiyear project was essential in ensuring youth in shelter felt safe, accepted, and supported.
This project was made possible by a commUNITY of support. Join us as we continue in this transformational work to support youth experien

Our Commitment to Youth Racial Justice & Equity
80% of youth at The Bridge identify as BIPOC. In acknowledgment of our organizational commitment to transformation, it is our honor to share The Bridge for Youth's Racial Justice & Equity Statement. The Bridge centers youth voice, justice, and equity in all we do, and empowers youth experiencing homelessness through safe shelter, basic needs, and healthy relationships. We recognize that this Racial Justice & Equity Statement is an iterative statement, one that will change, grow, and transform as we do. In this statement, you will find Our 10 Commitments to end racism. Join us in action & commUNITY as we seek equitable opportunities and outcomes for all.
