Make a joyful noise with us!

We don’t need to tell you that it’s been a brutal year for the trans community. We’re being targeted by coordinated, well-funded, politically powerful campaigns of hate. Executive orders, anti-trans legislation, and violent rhetoric are threatening our rights, safety, and well-being on every level.

For those of us who come from Christian faith backgrounds, it has been especially painful to hear the name of Jesus weaponized and used to justify harm to the most vulnerable, including trans and gender-expansive people.

At a time like this, the theme “make a joyful noise” may see like an odd choice. But we think the current climate means it’s more important than ever to lean into joy.

A joy that is defiant. A joy that takes up space. A joy that refuses to accept any less than the fullness of God’s vision for our thriving, as our whole and authentic selves, in loving community.

Trans people deserve the joy of spiritual connection and community, of church spaces that embrace and celebrate us. To make that possible, we need you.

Through your gift, TMC will connect more trans and gender-expansive people in support groups and online community spaces. We’ll reach more churches and church leaders through trans affirming theological and pastoral education. We’ll offer more direct, material support to trans folks through our mutual aid program.
