Louisville Youth Group Inc

LYG serves LGBTQAI+ young people between the ages of 5 and 20.  We have a junior group for ages 5-12, and a teen group for ages 13-20. For many of these young people LYG meetings may be the only truly safe and comfortable space they are in throughout the week.  Many of them have difficulties at school, are subjected to bullying or are not out to their families.  We try to help them deal with these aspects of their lives in the most positive way possible 

All programs and functions offered through LYG are always FREE to youth. Economics are never an influencing factor to a youth’s ability to have a safe and affirming community of peers and mentors. 

Currently, LYG provides one in-person and one virtual meet up a month. Youth also attend our pride, prom, leadership camp, New Year’s Eve lock in, and many other functions free. LYG also provides snacks at every meeting and shirts for pride and camp, again, all free to the youth.

LYG staff and adult mentors are always available to provide a listening ear and help the young person determine the best approach for themselves.  We plan activities to enrich their lives and broaden their horizons as well as entertain and delight them.
