ABOUT ENTRE HERMANOS
Founded in 1991, Entre Hermanos was created by a group of Latine LGBTQ+ community members who recognized the urgent need for culturally responsive social, educational, and health services in Washington State. What began as a grassroots initiative quickly grew into a vital, community-led organization addressing HIV/AIDS prevention and support for communities of color.
Over the years, Entre Hermanos has expanded its impact—strengthening programs, building strategic partnerships, and evolving to meet the changing needs of our community. From its early days organizing community events and prevention efforts to becoming an established nonprofit in 2001, the organization has remained grounded in community, resilience, and care.
Today, with offices in Seattle and Yakima, Entre Hermanos continues to advance the health and well-being of Washington’s Latine LGBTQ+ community through culturally grounded programs in HIV prevention, healthcare access, legal advocacy, housing support, and community empowerment.
As we celebrate 35 years of service, our mission remains clear: to promote the health and well-being of our Latine LGBTQ+ community through prevention, education, advocacy, and community building—honoring our legacy while continuing to grow, evolve, and lead with purpose.
FIRST. FEARLESS. FOREVER.
For 35 years, Entre Hermanos has been a lifeline for Washington’s Latine LGBTQ+ community.
FIRST.
We are the first Latine LGBTQ organization in Washington,
creating spaces and programs where none existed.
FEARLESS.
We have led through the HIV crisis, anti-immigrant climates, systemic inequities, and the COVID-19 pandemic,
always advocating, preventing, and creating visibility for our community.
FOREVER.
Our impact is permanent. We're a trusted institution shaping the next 35 years and beyond.
We provide culturally rooted, life-saving services to individuals who face barriers to health care, legal protection, and safe spaces. Our work includes:
Free HIV & STI Testing and Prevention (PrEP) · Immigration Legal Services · Mental Health and Emergency Housing Support · HIV Case Management · Community-Based Care
We also create spaces for connection and healing, including the only Spanish-speaking trans-Latine peer support group in Washington: MONARCAS.
Every day, we meet people where they are, with care that is trusted, affirming, and accessible.
This 35th anniversary, your support is more critical than ever. Give today to honor 35 years of impact and help us shape the next 35.
