Facing the Challenges: Anti-LGBTQ+ Bills

This year, the LGBTQ+ community has faced unprecedented challenges with the introduction of anti-LGBTQ+ bills in Ohio, mimicking national trends. These bills aim to undermine our hard-fought work to galvanize lived and legal equality. Discrimination, exclusion, and misinformation have once again reared their heads, reminding us of the importance of our collective efforts.

Supporting Legal Well-being: Anti-LGBTQ+ bills and discrimination have a profound impact on the legal well-being of LGBTQ+ individuals, especially the majority of LGBTQ+ Ohioans who live, work or attend school in unprotected areas. Equality Ohio and our Attorney Referral Network provide critical legal services, continuing education courses, and community resources to help LGBTQ+ Ohioans navigate legal issues and cultivate resilience. The Equality Ohio Legal Clinic provides free legal support to LGBTQ+ Ohioans with incomes at or below 300% of the federal poverty line.
