JASMYN supports the empowerment of LGBTQIA+ teens and young adults through leadership, advocacy, resources, and a safe and affirming community. Our vision is that LGBTQIA+ teens' and young adults' identities, aspirations, and contributions are valued and affirmed.

Your gift to JASMYN this Give OUT Day will support the provision of low-barrier programs for LGBTQIA+ young adults ages 18-29 and teens ages 13-17 (with parental consent) and ensure that JASMYN remains a visible and vital resource for LGBTQIA+ youth and their families.

Teen and Family Programming offers safe spaces where queer teens can connect, form friendships, and find mentorship. These programs provide a welcoming, brave space for teens, parents, family members, chosen family, and adult supporters of LGBTQIA+ teens and young adults. Programs include:

• GSA support
• Drop-in programs
• Alternative Prom
• Leadership training
• Family support

Our Mental Health Services program offers services that address higher rates of anxiety and depression in LGBTQIA+ youth, offering safe spaces for healing, trust, and community connection. These include:

• Care coordination for youth experiencing homelessness
• Gender-affirming counselors
• Health and wellness services

The Health Services program provides a variety of life-saving health services for LGBTQIA+ teens and young adults to ensure that they feel safe, supported, and empowered to manage their health. Services include:

• HIV testing and linkage to care
• PrEP services
• STI clinic
• Care coordination
• Youth leadership support

Housing Support provides resources for youth experiencing homelessness who have been rejected by family and other communities. These include:

• Rapid Rehousing Program
• Rental/utility assistance
• ACCESS daily drop-in and a food & hygiene pantry
• Shower and laundry suites
• Care coordination

Community Engagement rounds out JASMYN’s pillars for a strong and vibrant organization. In this way, we address:

• Systemic advocacy for and with youth
• Student rights and safety
• LGBTQIA+ community rights
• Two annual signature events: the Strides for Pride 5K and the Coming Out Day Breakfast

All young people are welcomed, regardless of sexual orientation and/or gender identity, in a place that is uniquely sensitive, respectful, and responsive to LGBTQIA+ teens and young adults, youth of color, and young people seeking community and experiencing challenges in their lives.
