The Source LGBT+ Center stands with Black Lives Matter, Black Trans Lives Matter, and every one of us doing what we can to elevate Black LGBTQ voices and stand up against systematic racism and oppression.
Give Out Day is the only national day of giving for LGBTQ organizations. This competition has allowed The Source to fund lifesaving HIV programs, support our trans and non-binary community, and give our youth a safe space. With your help, we have won the leaderboard prize in our category 2 years in a row.
This year, we are donating part of any leaderboard prize we might win to The Black Trans Advocacy Coalition, a national organization led by Black trans people, dedicated to addressing inequality in health, employment and housing for trans people.
The first 1,000 donations of $10+ will be matched up to $10!
The Source is the only LGBT+ Center in Central California providing AIDS Drug Assistance. Our COVID Relief Fund has given over $45,000 in assistance to queer and trans folks of color in Tulare County. We have still managed to meet the moment by moving our programs and services virtually. We have even added a new program to provide direct aid to our LGBT+ people affected by COVID-19. Direct aid such as food, utility assistance, rental assistance, and even pet food. We serve youth, elders, people living with HIV, trans folx, and our LGBT+ community and allies in a very conservative, and sometimes hostile area. Moreover, we've been a progressive link for Tulare and Kings County, providing health information, education, and needed entertainment through our LGBT+ Virtual Center. But we need your help to continue. Without our traditional PRIDE Visalia event and other fundraisers, we are short over $30,000. Help The Source survive this setback by donating today. Our work began as a community-driven effort, and we will continue to thrive with help from you... our community. LGBT+ youth, elders, and our most vulnerable folx are counting on you. Show your PRIDE and give now. Because The Source is essential and equality is never quarantined.
