Waves Ahead Puerto Rico

Waves Ahead Corp, was organized and incorporated during early 2017 to provide services for the LGBT+ Older Adult population living in Puerto Rico. It is registered as a non-for-profit in United States and Puerto Rico. It provides a wide array of services focusing on the mental health of the LGBT+ community, from its community centers across Puerto Rico, in Cabo Rojo, Maunabo, San Juan, Isabela, and Loiza. All services are free of cost. 

Objectives:

• Support in the development and formation of stronger segments of our community, among them, LGBT population, seniors, homeless, women-head-of-households, and others; in order for them to transform their quality of living.
• Promote an inclusive public policy for all.
• Providing the skills necessary in order to empower them as individuals, families, and community-as-a-whole.

All funds received will be invested in providing life-saving mental health services and remodeling sites (pictured below) to open housing projects that will benefit the LGBTTQ+ community with a focus on our elders, those escaping a violent situation, and/or facing homelessness.
