When is Give OUT 2025?
Early Giving for Give OUT 2025 begins on May 22, 2025, at midnight. While Give OUT Day takes place for 24 hours on Tuesday, June 5, 2025, the Give OUT campaign will be open through June 30 so that organizations can continue to fundraise through Pride Month.
How do I donate during Give OUT?
During Give OUT and all year-round, you can make a donation on GiveOUTday.org to the causes of your choosing! Simply visit GiveOUTday.org, search for the nonprofit you want to support and click “donate!” You can also go to GiveOUTday.org/search to view organizations by cause type, location, and more.
All donations made on GiveOUTday.org beginning May 22 through June 30 count toward Give OUT totals and are eligible for prize grants.
How do I decide which organizations to support?
Where you give depends on what you feel most passionately about! There are tens of thousands of organizations on GiveOUTday.org doing good work in their communities. Here’s some ideas to get you started:
Visit GiveOUTday.org/search and filter causes by category.
- From advocacy and civil rights-focused organizations to arts organizations to health services and beyond, looking for causes by the type of work they do is an easy way to narrow down your search.
Filter causes by location.
- Want to give to an organization working in your local community? Visit GiveOUTday.org/search and select “location.” Then, you can view organizations in a specific area!
Support cause areas that face multiple systemic inequities.
- Did you know that LGBTQ+ causes only receive 0.16% of all philanthropic giving each year? In addition, LGBTQ+ causes that also center specific marginalized communities such as refugees and/or asylees, BIPOC communities, trans individuals, and more, receive even less funding. Use the filters on GiveOUTDay.org/search to find causes that focus on the communities that are nearest to your heart, and that typically face greater funding challenges.
May I cover the fee associated with my gift?
Yes! On average, 93% of donors add a little bit more to pay the processing fee associated with their gifts so that 100% of their donation goes to the organization they support.
The processing fee on GiveOUTday.org covers credit card processing fees assessed by financial institutions, and ensures GiveOUTday.org remains a free, private, and accessible digital platform for LGBTQ+ nonprofits year-round.
How do I access the receipts for my tax-deductible donations?
You can access your giving statements and donation receipts anytime by logging into your free GiveOUTday.org account! Not only will a receipt be emailed to you after every donation you make, but a printer-friendly version of your receipt is always available to you in your account. I want to give monthly to an organization. How do I do that?
Making a monthly donation to an organization is an excellent way to make a difference – thank you! When making your donation, you can simply select “monthly donation” instead of “one-time donation” to set up your recurring gift schedule.
