Hello! Thank you for clicking through to my Give OUT day fundraising page to support Campus Pride.

I am proud to be serving on the Board of Directors for Campus Pride, the leading national nonprofit organization serving LGBTQ students on college campuses. I am also a graduate of the Camp Pride Summer Leadership Academy from when I was a college student at Southern Methodist University in 2008.

My camp experience had a significant impact on me. Camp Pride was the first time I was in a space with all LGBTQ+ people. It was the first time I could talk to a Trans person in a safe, judgement-free space. It's also where I learned the meaning of privilege, and how those with more privilege can and should advocate for those with less.

After camp, I launched a campus-wide campaign at SMU to add an LGBTQ representative to the student government. And after I graduated from college, I started working as a community organizer for environmental and political campaigns, which I still do to this day.

As Campus Pride celebrates its 20th Anniversary this year, I reflect on how important these programs are for college students and the impact they have had on tens of thousands of people. While there has been a lot of progress made since I graduated from college 11 years ago, there is still a lot of work to be done.

That's why I'm raising money for Campus Pride during Pride Month, so we can continue to train and empower the next generation of LGBTQ leaders to push for positive change, and to keep pushing for it until we realize a society free of anti-LGBTQ bias, bigotry, and hate.

Please donate $10 or more today so we can carry out our mission to support LGBTQ students for another 20 years!
