In these times, it can be difficult to find a place to belong.
As a blind, gay person, I know what it is to struggle to find community. In september of 2025, I joined the Twin Cities Gay Men's Chorus. I immediately felt welcomed and accepted!
Accessibility and inclusion are foundational to TCGMC. The friendships I have formed among my fellow singers will last a lifetime, and the work we do brings joy, raises awareness, and builds community.

Music is a fundamental part of human existence. It transcends the artificial boundries we construct to separate ourselves from one another. Music changes hearts, minds and lives. It creates movements and strengthens others. It brings us comfort and motivates us to action. It frightens the powerful who seek to divide us for their own gain because it sends the message that we will not be divided. It sends the message that when we act together, nothing can stand against us.
Our concerts have something for everyone, and they create a space where all who love are welcome.

For 45 years, Twin Cities Gay Men's Chorus has created joy, changed hearts, and reminded people that love and community are stronger than hate and division.
But this moment calls for all of us again. In Minnesota, we've proven that we know what is means to step up for one another. To protect our neighbors. To create belonging. To hold each other in safety and love.
