CASA is grateful to our community for supporting us during this most turbulent year. As we enter our 25th year of providing radical arts education, wellness services, and social justice programming, we are facing a very uncertain future. Please see below and join CASA parents Amy & Eleanor in supporting CASA this Giving Tuesday so we can survive and thrive for another 25 years!

Dear friends,

We were worried when we heard CASA is struggling and we reached out to Leslie to see how we could help. That is why we are writing this letter for Giving Tuesday.

It’s been a really hard year for so many in our community and we know that our resources and energy are tapped.

We also know that when things start to get back to normal, we will need CASA more than ever. Even with the creative CASA 2.0 programming—including joyful STEM in the kitchen messes, moviemaking, and Dungeons & Dragons—CASA was not able to make ends meet. They are struggling to cover basic health insurance for their furloughed staff ($6,500 per month) and they need resources to figure out how to provide in-person care when that is safe and possible.

Our community didn’t rally to save CASA just to have the pandemic sweep it away. We want to make sure that CASA – including staff members our kids love – is a part of our kids’ futures when we are all back at Rooftop.

Our family has donated to help CASA retain staff and stay afloat, and we urge others to do the same. No donation is too small. We know that many families are struggling financially. If your family is able to do so, though, please dig deep for the benefit of our community.

With love, gratitude, and rainbow unicorns,

Amy and Eleanor (moms of Serena, grade 3)
