Pride 2021 June B-day Fundraiser in Memory of Cass

Gemini birthday fundraiser power activate! For our birthdays this year & also Pride 2021, we (Katie and Melissa) are doing a Trans Lifeline fundraiser in honor and memory of our dear and amazing friend Cassandra Lease, whom we lost this past February.

About Trans Lifeline: Trans Lifeline is a trans-led organization that connects trans people to the community, support, and resources they need to survive and thrive. They offer a peer support and crisis hotline and microgrants for legal name changes and updated IDs. Basically, they are amazing and you should support them!

About Cassandra: Cass was an outspoken and passionate advocate for equality of all kinds, but trans issues were even more personal. She was the first trans person we were really close to, and we learned more from her about the trans community and their fight for equal rights and treatment than we could ever try to sum up. She would always speak eloquently and passionately about these and so many other similar issues and struggles. She amazed us with how informed and current she was on political, civil, cultural, and historical nuances! You couldn't possibly know Cass and not learn something from her about social justice issues for LGBTQ+ communities.

Though her voice can never be replaced, that fight lives on. Please help us in donating to this wonderful organization and supporting the much-needed advocacy and work that they do. Stay safe, be kind, love and support one another, and Happy Pride!
