2020 has been a rough year, but your generosity is a mid-year highlight. Thank you for inspiring us to be better everyday.
I’m raising money for API Equality-LA, an organization that means a lot to me personally. API Equality-LA builds grassroots community power in API LGBTQ communities. The organization is tiny (with only 3 staff members!) but mighty with a solid volunteer base that works to achieve racial, social, and LGBTQ justice.
As a member of the Steering Committee, I have stepped in to raise funds to support the organization's work, which includes community building, public education, and activist training. Through my time attending, volunteering, and organizing, I can attest first-hand how important this work has been for our community.
This year, my friend Gabe and I have opted to spend our would-be-birthday-celebration funds in support of the commitment to support our communities. Together, we are pledging to jointly match each individual donation on this page with a $28 contribution* to a black, trans-led organization here in Los Angeles called Project Q.
