This Giving Tuesday, I’m honored to partner with JQY (Jewish Queer Youth) to raise funds for their vital programs that support LGBTQ Jewish youth from historically non-accepting communities. JQY’s work changes lives, creates safe spaces, and provides resources for young people who often face isolation and discrimination. This organization is so important for the youth of today as they face more and more alienating experiences in both queer and Orthodox communities. JQY supports youth with its robust roster of programming including a weekly Drop-in Center where Jewish queer youth ages 13-23 can connect with others like them and receive free mental health care and kosher dinner.  JQYU, the JQY college support program offers micro-grants for Jewish queer college students to meet and support one another on or off campus. JQY also offers educational programming for therapists and Orthodox community leaders to better support queer individuals. This fosters understanding and compassion at the source.

These programs not only save lives—they build futures. I believe in JQY’s mission to create a world where no young person feels alone because of their identity, and I hope you’ll join me in supporting them today.
