Safe Spaces Weddings

We are Jenn and Randi Green. Randi has been with Jacksonville Sheriff's Office since 2005. Jenn is an ordained minister with the United Church of Christ. She's been in ministry since 2006 and ordained since 2013. We met in 2014 and became good friends. We realized we both love Disney, dogs, and good food and wine....and we made each other laugh! It wasn't until 2017 that we fell in love and two years later we were married. We knew Disney was gay friendly and since we love Disney we decided to get married there with just Jenn's sons and our officiant. But we wanted a party to share our happiness with our family and friends. That's when things got awkward. Suddenly we were calling businesses and asking if they were okay working with gay people before setting appointments. To be perfectly honest we didn't have a bad experience, but over the years we have, at restaurants, bars, amusement parks, etc. When Jenn resigned from church work during the COVID-19 pandemic, Safe Spaces Weddings was born!

We have over 200 businesses listed as Safe Spaces that we have personally coached and vetted as Safe Spaces and we have 100 % confidence that they will treat our couples right.

We are currently in the process of writing a professional curriculum to be shared free of charge with small businesses that otherwise could not afford inclusion and diversity training.  This is where you come in- please support this important work by donating today!
