Valé Briseus (they/them) is a disabled, Black, queer, and trans lifelong Floridian. A proud first-generation Haitian-American, Valé has a deep personal understanding of the systemic challenges that marginalized communities face, especially Black and Brown queer youth in South Florida. Their experiences have allowed them to recognize the inherent strength, wisdom, and resilience that LGBTQ+ youth carry within them. They understand that queer and trans young people are not only full and complete as they are, but also visionary leaders with the insight and courage needed to reimagine and reshape our world into one that embraces justice, equity, and true liberation for all.

Driven by this insight, Valé is deeply committed to creating spaces where LGBTQ youth are not just heard but truly valued and empowered. This includes actively amplifying their voices, celebrating their brilliance, and standing firmly in defense of their human and civil rights. Whether through advocacy, education, or community-building, Valé works to ensure that LGBTQ youth can thrive in a world that respects their dignity, nurtures their potential, and recognizes their leadership in building a more inclusive and liberated future. This awareness has also guided them to their professional passion: creating sustainable change and supporting underserved communities through social justice, advocacy, and grassroots organizing.

Valé is currently working on fighting fascism as a National Organizer at Indivisible Project. They are set to graduate from the University of Central Florida in Spring 2026 with an M.A. in Public Administration and a Certificate in Nonprofit Management. They currently hold an M.A. in Global Affairs, with a concentration in Globalization & Security, from Florida International University and a B.A. in Psychology from the University of South Florid
