HoneyWorks is thrilled to step into our 2026 season with bold new artistry, collaborative innovation, and immersive performance experiences that celebrate the power of movement, story, and community. This year, we’re expanding our creative reach—bringing together visionary directors, composers, choreographers, and lighting designers to craft work that is as vibrant and multidimensional as the artists who make it possible.
Most notably is our premiere of "Showing" in June 2026, a Bridge Fund for Dance activation funded by the City of Minneapolis Arts &Cultural Affairs Department.
Set in the historic JB Hudson jewelry store in the downtown Dayton's building, “Showing” is an immersive dance/theater experience exploring the layered histories and unseen energies of urban spaces. Drawing on physical theater, site-responsive choreography, and guided audience interaction, “Showing” invites viewers to reconsider the narrative of value, vacancy, and potential. This production will be developed in conjunction with Hatch Dance and presented as our two organizations ongoing partnership Summer Dance, now entering its 6th year.
To bring this production to life, we are launching a fundraising campaign with a goal of $20,000 by February 5, 2026. Every contribution directly fuels the people and resources that shape our work—from the creative collaborators who dream up each piece to the performing artists who embody it onstage.
Your support helps cover essential production costs, including:
• Creative collaborators (directors, composers, choreographers, lighting designer)
• Performing artists (actors, musicians, dancers)
• Studio rental and performance venue cost
• Sound and lighting equipment rentals
• Costumes, props, and materials
• Marketing and promotional outreach
• Event insurance
• And many other behind-the-scenes necessities that make our work possible
By contributing to this fundraiser campaign, you are investing in independent arts, in collaborative creation, and in a season built on curiosity, rigor, and heart. Thank you for helping us bring these stories to the stage—and for being part of the HoneyWorks community.
About HoneyWorks
HoneyWorks cultivates an artistic community much like a honeycomb—interlinked, supportive, and strengthened by the contributions of many. Our dancers, musicians, actors, and designers work together with the dedication and focus of a hive, transforming raw ideas into fully realized performances. Grounded in shared effort and mutual inspiration, our collaborative process allows each artist’s voice to shape the whole.
The work we create is not tied to any single culture or identity; it is designed to resonate broadly and to engage audiences on a deeply human level. We aim to offer experiences that are both memorable and lasting—performances that linger long after the final moment onstage. Through this commitment to connection, exploration, excellence, and access, HoneyWorks continues to build a vibrant, inclusive space for performance in the Twin Cities and beyond.
