Support the Spaces That Support Our Community 

Founded in 1978, The LGBT+ Center Orlando has grown from a crisis hotline into a vital hub for advocacy, education, resources, and support for LGBTQ+ individuals and their allies across Central Florida. 

On June 4th, in celebration of #GiveOutDay, we are raising $10,000 to help fund The Center's support groups, ensuring that community members continue to have access to safe, affirming spaces for connection and support. 

Why Support Groups Matter

For many people, support groups provide a vital source of understanding, encouragement, and belonging. These spaces often serve as the starting point for healing, offering opportunities to process trauma, build self-acceptance, explore identity, and form meaningful connections that can grow into chosen family—or simply a welcoming community of like-minded individuals.

Support Groups Spotlight

The Center offers a variety of groups and programs, including trans groups, grief and loss programs, and Older & Wiser Learners (OWLS). Each provides a unique space for understanding, connection, and personal growth while exploring different aspects of identity, life experiences, and community.
