The Ancia Saxophone Quartet invites your financial support to help make possible our upcoming composer commissions and outreach work in schools.
Ancia has a long history of supporting new music by commissioning composer projects, and we rely on your financial support to sustain this important tradition. Over the years the quartet has commissioned works from numerous prominent composers, including Grammy Award–winner and Minnesota composer Libby Larsen, Pulitzer Prize and two-time Grammy Award–winner Jennifer Higdon, and Pulitzer Prize finalist Lei Liang. We are currently participating in a consortium commission with composer Kian Ravaei and have begun discussions with Libby Larsen regarding a new commission.
All four members of Ancia are dedicated educators and a central part of the ensemble’s mission involves presenting concerts, workshops and clinics in schools. This work is especially meaningful in city schools that have limited funding for music and band programs. Here we can offer students valuable exposure to high-quality chamber music. Your support helps us continue and expand this important outreach.
Thank you for supporting music, the arts, and the mission of the Ancia Saxophone Quartet. All contributions are administered through our fiscal sponsor, Springboard for the Arts.
