"I am inspired by all of you at AID Upstate that has made the choice to dedicate your career to helping others."

"One call was all it took. I was connected to a medical case manager who scheduled me with an HIV medical provider, who prescribed my HIV medication, and connected with a pharmacy that automatically shipped my medication to my home, a mental health therapist who helped me manage my mental health, an addiction counselor to meet with weekly along with an addiction process group and enrolled in health insurance.  It was all too much to be true!"

AID Upstate

Preventing And Treating HIV Through Direct Services, Advocacy, Education, and Awareness

AID Upstate has been at the forefront

in the fight against HIV/AIDS which.  Efforts began several years earlier, first as a committee and then as a task force to respond to a then-unnamed illness that primarily affected young gay men and rapidly progressed to death.

AID Upstate was founded in 1987 during AIDS epidemic.  AID Upstate became a safe haven for people who were abandoned by family and friends after being diagnosed with HIV and AIDS because of  the stigma and discrimination with being diagnosed with HIV/AIDS,

Over the next three decades, AID Upstate has continued to lead the fight through its activism, innovative HIV prevention, and testing programs, and comprehensive care services all offered at little cost or free of charge to all people and families living with and affected by HIV/AIDS.
