Bay Area Council on Gender Diversity

The mission of the Bay Area Council on Gender Diversity (BACGD) is "To provide support, education, and advocacy for transgender persons, their families and allies."  This is accomplished in a variety of ways through

  - Monthly social support gatherings and other opportunties for trans, non-binary, gender expansive adults

  - Monthly Drop In Socials and other activities for trans youth

  - Organization of the Trans Artists Collaborative dedicated to using art as way to raise awareness and educate the broader community        regarding the joys and challenges of being transgender

  - Public speaking at various community groups

  - Maintenance of an informational website, newsletter and social media posts
