$10,000 Goal

LGBTQ (+ Allies) Lake County was founded in 2019 after members of the local LGBTQ+ community recognized a serious lack of resources, visibility, and safe spaces in Lake County, Ohio. Too many people felt isolated, unsupported, and alone simply for being themselves.

What began as a small grassroots effort quickly grew into a movement focused on connection, inclusion, and community support. From the very beginning, the organization worked to create welcoming spaces where LGBTQ+ individuals and allies could gather without fear of judgment.

Over the years, LGBTQ Lake County has grown to provide support groups, community meals, bowling nights, karaoke gatherings, group outings, Pride celebrations, emergency assistance, and educational outreach programs. These programs help reduce loneliness, improve mental wellness, and remind people that they are valued and accepted.

For many individuals, the organization has become more than a nonprofit : it has become a chosen family and a lifeline of support. Through visibility, compassion, and community connection, LGBTQ Lake County continues working to ensure that no one in our area feels alone.
