Transgender Awareness Alliance

The mission of TAA is to assist transgender persons in South Carolina with getting a legal name change, provide support for healthy living, and seek equality and equity through activism. 

Over the years we have been asked to help with housing for many transgender individuals across the country. While housing isn't something we initially set out to do, we have recognized the dire need for it within the transgender community.  2022 has left the numbers of houseless transgender individuals soaring and TAA is asking for help to create an emergency housing option here in the midlands. We are calling on all our supporters to help us meet our goal and secure, safe housing options. This will be a space that allows us to pool all of our resources together to set folx up for success. Your donation can help us reach our goals of creating safe emergency housing for the transgender community in the midlands area.
