Across the country, LGBTQ+ communities are facing relentless political attacks  from efforts to erase transgender people from public life, to censorship in schools, to attempts to roll back protections in healthcare, housing, and civil rights. These attacks are coordinated, well-funded, and designed to make LGBTQ+ people feel less safe, less visible, and less valued.

Here in Massachusetts, we know progress is never guaranteed.

That’s why MassEquality exists and why our work is so critical right now.

MassEquality is the only statewide LGBTQ+ advocacy organization in Massachusetts dedicated to advancing lived equality for every member of our community. We work every day at the State House, in local communities, in coalition spaces, and alongside grassroots organizers to defend our rights, fight discrimination, and build a Commonwealth where LGBTQ+ people can thrive.

When anti-LGBTQ+ legislation spreads across the country, we mobilize to ensure Massachusetts remains a leader in equality and protection. When transgender and nonbinary people are targeted, we show up to advocate, organize, educate, and protect access to affirming spaces and services. When LGBTQ+ people feel isolated or afraid, we create visibility, connection, and hope.

And when our community needs a voice, MassEquality speaks loudly and unapologetically.
